An den Wänden unzählige Geschichten, aufgezeichnet wie Notizen. Aber: Wie entziffern? Wie verstehen? Und wie beim Lesen durch die Schichten sehen? Ein Spaziergang durch ein altes Haus, immer mit den Augen die Wände entlang, auf der Suche nach Geschichten in Schichten. Der Film erzählt von der Reise durch ein verfallenes Gebäude. Dabei wird der Ruin nicht dokumentiert, sondern mit ihm gespielt, um ihn aus seiner Vergänglichkeit zu lösen und ihm eine Zukunft zu geben. Der Film wurde beim Odderader Filmfestival 2021 erstmalig präsentiert, erstellt aus Anlaß der Verleihung der Deutschen Photobuchpreises 2020 für das Buch „Wandstücke“. Der Film vermittelt das Lesen der Schichten filmisch und damit besonders eindruckvoll. (Gezeigt werden hier Screenshots aus dem Film)

Wall Pieces – the movie

Countless stories on the walls, recorded like notes. But: How to decode? How to understand? And how to see through the layers while reading? A walk through an old house, always hunting with the eyes along the walls, looking for stories in layers. The short movie tells us about a journey through an abandoned building, not to document the ruin, but instead to play with it, to release it from its transience and to give it a piece of future. The movie was first presented at the Odderader Film Festival 2021. The occasion for making the movie had been the adward of the German Photo Book Prize 2020 for the book „Wall Pieces“. In the movie, the reading of the layers is implemented on film and therefore particularly impressive. (Screenshots from the movie are shown here)
